A Closer Look On Civil Partnership

Have you ever been invited to a witness a civil partnership ceremony? Are you aware on how the entire ceremony goes? Have you thought on the impact it can creates once a couple enters into a this type of bond?

A Civil Partnership Ceremony is a meaningful and dignified ceremony for adult couples of the same sex. Under the Civil Partnerhsip Act of 2005, same sex couples can now make a legal and binding commitment to each other. There is no obligation to take part in a ceremony, but ceremonies are offered to those couples who want them. The legal recognition of a partnership is achieved by the acknowledgment of the words contained in a schedule, and the signing of that schedule in the presence of the Partnership Registrar and two witnesses.

Coming Out – The Daily Struggle

I rarely leave my comfort zone but unfortunately with my graduate degree and work schedule, I am pushed often to make contact with the world. Truth be told, social gathering and networking are the most anxiety provoking experiences I have to endure and I hate making conversation.

Usually it has nothing to do with the people or the fact that I am a gay women, it is due in most part to the fact that I feel either invisible or like a fraud.
